Cotton Fall Back Lower on Tuesday

Cotton futures were 25 to 30 points in the red in the front months on Tuesday.  The outside factors were mixed, as crude oil futures were up 75 cents/barrel on the day, with the US dollar index up 560 points.

The Seam reported 12,432 bales of online sales on January 27 at an average price of 59.98 cents/lb. ICE cotton stocks were unchanged on Monday, at 218 bales of certified stocks. The Cotlook A Index was up 65 points on 1/24 at 78.55 cents/lb. The USDA Adjusted World Price (AWP) was down another 27 points from the previous week last Thursday afternoon at 53.71 cents/lb.

May 25 Cotton  closed at 68.11, down 25 points,

Jul 25 Cotton  closed at 69.25, down 26 points
